Full-service packing
The packing crew comes the day before the move for a typical house, or the morning of for a small apartment. They work room by room, wrapping each item in packing paper, filling boxes to the top so nothing shifts, and labeling every carton with its room and contents.
By the time the loading crew arrives, the house is boxed, stacked, and ready to carry.
Nothing is packed loose or half-full, because a box that rattles is a box that arrives with something broken inside.
Materials chosen for the job
We use double-walled dish barrels for glassware and china, wardrobe boxes so hanging clothes stay on the hanger, picture and mirror cartons for framed pieces, and custom crating for anything unusual.
Cheap boxes soften in humidity and crush when stacked, which matters in a trailer that has been sitting in Texas sun. Our cartons are rated for the load and the conditions.
Partial packing and fragile-only
Many families pack their own books, toys, and linens and hire us just for the kitchen, the dining room, and the artwork. That is a sensible split, and we price it by the rooms you want covered.
If you want to pack yourself, we can deliver materials and give you a short guide on how to do it so that it survives the truck.
The guide covers the basics that trip most people up: heavy items in small boxes, paper rather than newsprint against dishes, and tape across every seam rather than folding the flaps.
Unpacking at the new home
Unpacking means we empty cartons onto counters, hang clothes in closets, set dishes in cabinets, reassemble furniture, and take all the flattened cardboard and paper away with us.
You tell us where things go; we do the lifting and the sorting. For families starting work or school the next morning, this is often the part they value most.
Boxes you would rather unpack yourself, such as personal papers or a home office, are simply set aside in the room you choose.
Electronics, plants, and heat-sensitive items
Televisions and computers are photographed before cables come out, then wrapped and boxed with the cords bagged and labeled. Candles, vinyl records, cosmetics, and houseplants are packed separately and loaded last so they spend the least time in a hot truck.
On summer moves we recommend carrying the most sensitive items in your own vehicle, and we will point out which ones during the walk-through.
